When talking about a high-performance notebook, like the Dell Alienware m15 R6, it is expected that it does the job in every way. From being able to watch something on YouTube, streaming and also playing games.

The latter by the way end up taking up considerable disk space, abusing RAM and video memory. They “destroy” the sound and as it turns out, games these days are true demanding monsters that really want to feed off the notebook.

We've already done the first analysis geared towards the work of this alienware with 11th Gen Intel(R) Core(TM) i7 processor, 16GB RAM, Dedicated NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3070 8GB GDDR6 Graphics Card, 1TB PCIe NVMe M.2 SSD, and Coming Soon with Windows 11 Pro. To check his performance, just read our article. But as the title and the beginning of the review say, this time it's fun.

Games

We tested the Dell Alienware m15 R6 with the main games recently released in the market like: Far Cry 6 and yours DLC, Back 4 Blood, backbone, Riders Republic, Call of Duty: Vanguard and Battlefield 2042. These are games that demand a whole machine and real energy.

In all games the performance was remarkable. I was asked to upgrade the video card to Far Cry 6 only once, which was done very quickly and seamlessly. With full resolution in all games, the Alienware m15 R6 didn't show any kind of slowdown issue. It remained stable at all times, even with other programs open.

The only problem is your heating. The notebook after some time playing, something like around 1 hour, starts to warm up ungratefully. If you have it in your lap it will not withstand the heat. The cooler starts working and it is also unpleasant, meaning being very noisy. Something common among notebooks, but which in some cases is already being fixed.

This is the only downside for him. Due to the noise of the cooling, even with the headset it is something that bothers, as it is expected an immersion with the game, listening to its ambient sound and dialogs, as well as the soundtrack. Either way, it can be annoying, but not enough to annoy or “throw away”.

Its ability to manage several things at the same time, and which also seems to be a strong point of Windows 11 which is lighter than its predecessor, show the quality of hardware that the Alienware m15 R6 has. The monitor brightness even at 50% is detailed in every way to play a title like Far Cry 6.

The audio is also of great performance and is evident when facing enemies that appear out of nowhere in titles like Call of Duty or even in Far Cry 6. It was fun to be able to play Battlefield 2042 and see all the sunshine hitting the windows and the shadows of objects. The same for the sound of gunshots, dialogue and things falling and exploding around.

As a gaming notebook, the Dell Alienware m15 R6 is more than approved, even with the downside of its heat and noise.

In terms of battery, he withstood a match of a little more than 60 minutes very well. Battlefield at max settings required nearly an hour and a half of battery life. And it didn't slow down or crash like some notebook gamers sometimes do. It was possible to connect to the power and continue the game normally.

Streaming

Another highlight is being able to check out your favorite movies and series on one of the streaming channels you subscribe to. If the Dell Alienware m15 R6 is already great for playing games, for watching something, it is also above normal. Its screen is anti-glare, you can see the images from any angle and due to its clipping, even if you leave the notebook somewhere higher to watch, you won't have any problem modifying the way it will look, that is, looking for almost impossible positions for your note.

Worth it?

In general summary, yes it is. The Alienware m15 R6 is fantastic for playing your favorite old and new generation games, watching streaming and working. It makes it almost perfect for those looking for a do-it-all notebook, from working with the simplest office programs to complex image and video editors.

Its only downside to near-perfect is its heat. Even so, it's something relevant and won't get in the way.

O Dell Alienware m15 R6 is a reliable notebook, with a very good configuration, which is aimed at everyone who works in different areas, that is, from the office to the audiovisual and also for those who are looking for a notebook just to play and have fun.
