With simultaneous premiere on Disney + and in theaters, the long-awaited solo film by Black Widow will be available to fans on July 9th. The feature, which will address more about the heroine's little-known past, is the second of the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) starring a female character - being Captain Marvel the first.
Besides that, Black Widow is the first Marvel film to be directed entirely by a woman, the Australian director Cate Shortland, who has four feature films under his belt. The most known, Berlin Syndrome (2017), stars the actress Teresa Palmer and was nominated for Jury Grand Prix at Sundance Festival 2017.
