What's in it?
In Vanguard, players will experience the origins of special forces, fighting on four WWII fronts like we've never seen them before. With development led by Sledgehammer Games, Vanguard summons players to an immersive, cinematic campaign where ordinary soldiers with diverse histories come together to conquer all fronts and do the extraordinary and turn the tide of war.
Multiplayer features 20 maps, 12 Operators and over 3 dozen weapons in the revamped Gunsmith, all available from day one. Multiplayer in Vanguard brings new ways to play with the Rhythm of Combat system and the frenetic multi-arena survival mode Battles of Champions. Vanguard also features the first Zombies crossover in franchise history, developed by Treyarch, and expanding on the Dark Aether story presented to players in Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War.
Season One will bring a new map, Caldera, the free-to-play Call of Duty: Warzone, and a massive amount of new free-to-play experiences. Operators, Weapons, and Battle Pass progression will also sync across Vanguard, Black Ops Cold War, and Modern Warfare when Season One begins on December 2.
Launched together with Vanguard, the initiative RICOCHET Anti-Cheat TM is a multi-pronged approach to fighting cheating, with new server-side tools that monitor analytics to identify cheats, improved investigation processes to eliminate cheaters, updates to strengthen account security and more. RICOCHET Anti-Cheat's Back-End security features will also arrive later this year with the launch of the Call of Duty: Warzone Pacific map on PC.
Vanguard brings unified progression and supports cross-play between next-gen and current-gen systems.
