Looks like Carrie, famous work of Stephen King, will be revived in the form of a miniseries by the channel FX. That's what the website says Collider, who reported on the production.

The project will be developed in partnership with MGM and it can bring a change in the plot, the main character may come to be played by a transsexual or black actress.

In the classic plot, Carrie she is a shy young woman, persecuted by her colleagues, teachers and prevented by her mother from leading an ordinary life. On the day of her graduation, she discovers that she has telekinetic powers when the most popular young people at school humiliate her in front of everyone.

The book has already been adapted three times and the original production still yielded a sequel. The best known was Sissy Spacek in 1999 and the most recent was launched in 2013, with the main character played by Chloë Grace Moretz.

There is no further information on the start of production.
