Review | Loved

Loved is a Brazilian production inspired by a true story. In it, we accompany the civil police officer of Brasilia which gives its name to the feature facing not only crime, but the corruption that exists within the corporation itself.

Based on traditional action movies, “Amado” has sequences of scenes with the best in style, weapons, exchange of fire, pursuit and deception. The story follows a simple line of good against evil, where the distinction of each character is easily delimited. The simple story is what makes this development of the action sequences possible. That's what is expected of this genre, well-designed characters that don't leave room for personal development. They are what they are.

Sergio Menezes it is who gives life to Beloved. The policeman tries to deal with the problems of corruption and criminality, while leading a relationship with a prostitute of the community. His life gets complicated after denying a scam corruption coming from a superior. Committed to his beliefs, Amado is not carried away by promises of financial or personal gains, which will make him powerful enemies that will interfere in his life and those around him.

By being inspired by a real story, it is impossible to deny the impact and reflection that the film provides. It is common knowledge that corruption has spread its arms in the most diverse social, political and structural strata of the country. This system was made to coerce people who don't and don't want to be a part of it, surrounding and intimidating until it's impossible to escape and those who refuse, pay the consequences of their actions.

The feature takes place in Brasília, changing the axis a little São Paulo-Rio that occurs in most productions. The setting is confusing for those who are not used to the contours of Brasilia. the direction of Edu Felistoque and Erik de Castro make “Amado” a feature that doesn't become tiring, without unnecessary scenes and straight to the point. In the list is also the presence of Adriana Lessa, Alexandre Barillari, Igor Cotrim, Brenda Ligia, Neco Vila Lobos, Sérgio Cavalcanti and Gabriela Correa.

beloved debut day June 09 and is distributed by Downtown Movies.
