Coming to theaters, the national comedy AmarAção debut with a different proposal and a very specific plot: Mooring spells.

Focused on Erick (Eric Belhassen), the plot features a Frenchman living in São Paulo who, after separating from his wife, develops physical and psychological symptoms that lead him to believe that he was “bewitched” by her. Meanwhile, we follow the life of shard (Caco Ciocler) who is also separating and is already thinking about regaining her love of magic. Among various confusions and crazy investigations, the two end up convincing themselves that they will have to redeem themselves with their ex-wives to learn the truth about the magic of love.

AmarAção has an interesting proposal, but its execution becomes a little confusing. Starting off very well, setting the protagonists in the São Paulo high society's look and routine, the film conquers those who are familiar with the scenario and typical situations presented.

However, after the second act there is a break, where the protagonist returns to his native country and later investigates if he is really under a spell by going to Israel. At this point it is possible to feel a huge difference in the plot, with these elements seeming to be inserted by some obligation into the script.

In the end, everything seems to be resolved in a hurry and leaves the feeling that something was lost along the way. Initially presenting an interesting story that seems to show the real life of the actors, the explanations for the breaks in the narratives are shallow and everything is resolved in an easy and superficial way.

AmarAção is a comedy that manages to entertain, with very national arguments and good performances, it captivates the viewer, but leaves a feeling of emptiness when showing that it could have been better in the resolution.
