Brian Stevenson (Michael B. Jordan) is a newly graduated Harvard lawyer who gives up a lucrative career at renowned offices on the East Coast to move to Alabama and dedicate himself to death row inmates who have never received fair legal assistance. Upon arriving there, Bryan is faced with the case of Walter McMillian (Jamie Foxx), a black man falsely accused of a murder, but who never had a proper defense because of racial prejudice in the region.

Fight for Justice is a film that talks about the inequality of conditions for those who need justice. It may seem like it's a regional feature, just for American blacks, but no. Countries like Brazil still suffer from this prejudice and many will feel what racism is.

The drama is a true story based on the book of Brian Stevenson, who also signs the production. The author, who is the lawyer of the story, preferred throughout his life to defend those who were unable to hire a lawyer and who no one else believed. In this way, he managed to save many innocent people from injustice.

This film, in addition to dealing with the case against Walter McMillian, who was accused of murder, as he had previously had an affair with a white woman, proves all the prejudice that exists not only because he is black and poor. But the whole situation that involves the society that prefers to believe that he is guilty, having as truth his feelings of hate. Furthermore, the only people who can prove their innocence are the most favored. Other than that, the rest will have to take whatever comes their way, namely, having the luck of a lawyer like Stevenson.

Fight for Justice is an inspiring and highly criticized film. One should not question or analyze the performance of actors, but rather focus on what they present, showing the gigantic inequality that still exists in our society in the 21st century.

The drama takes 4 lives out of 5.
