You can't expect it to be Steven Spielberg's Shark. But it's not Sharknado's trash either. Even so, like the others, Megashark earns its place in adventure movies.
It is action-packed, seeking a bit of sentimentality from the main character's past and nothing else. There is no sympathy for the characters and much less fear of Megalodon.
And why is the movie bad? No way! As in most action movies, Megashark is fast, dynamic and fun! You can have a good laugh with the tirades in moments after tension. And even more so with Statham's performance. The feature is unpretentious, with some even hilarious scenes, putting Statham out on the arm with Megashark. And all this without the actor losing all his usual pose.
The actors are good, especially the female actresses Ruby Rose, Bingbing Li and the child character played by Shuya Sophia Cai. She exudes sympathy.
In addition to them, actor Masi Oka appears, practically playing himself. No matter the movie or show, Masi always does the typical Nerd. A pity, since the actor is very good.
In general, Megatubarão is a good movie to watch over the weekend and have fun. And pay attention to one of the scenes with the soundtrack of the movie Jaws!
