Orphan Black debuted as a major differentiator in current science fiction series. Bringing a subject that is not exactly new, but very little explored in television works, the production is focused on clones that fight against the great organization that created them to save their lives.

If the first season of the series it was impressive, the second one not only manages to keep pace but also impresses even more with its boldness. Orphan Black it is the type of series that leaves some doubt about the future, since the chase of the clones probably does not have enough material to avoid getting tiring. This second season comes to end this doubt, showing that there is much to be explored and new situations to be put in context.

*** Possible spoilers from the first season to follow ***

To begin with, there are new threats in the path of the clone club. Right in the first episode the plot presents the existence of the religious sect Proletheans, who, of course, is also interested in the sisters. Meanwhile the disappearance of Kira (Skyler Wexler) and Mrs. S (Maria Doyle Kennedy) takes Sarah (Tatiana Maslany) to face recently presented Rachel (Maslany), who has a respectable position at Dyad and seems to be involved in this kidnapping.

Gradually the season presents the resolution of this case, with many other revelations. Well-known characters undermine confidence by revealing obscure pasts, others only reveal that in reality they worked for the enemy and thus the atmosphere of the episodes is dictated.

The question of the disease that has been killing the clones and why Sarah can become pregnant is very explored in this new year of the series, and very well explained, in addition to opening up a new range of possibilities for the reason for the creation of the girls.

Tatiana Maslany continues to impress in her performance. Now with the characters even more involved, the actress demonstrates all her talent by playing a cold "villain" and having to deal with the sisters' strange new behaviors, like Alisson's freak and Cossima's problems. By your side, Jordan Gavaris (Felix) continues to prove to be a wonderful supporting role, but the one who really steals the show is little Skyler Wexler, who with a much longer screen time demonstrates a huge talent for her age.

Of course, not everything is correct, with for example the new transgender clone that appears as a very cool idea of representativeness, but it becomes something so isolated in the story that it ends up being meaningless.

For the rest, breeders John Fawcett and Graeme Manson continue to prove that they know how to innovate and present events that constantly renew the plot without becoming repetitive. The final proof is the hook that the last episode leaves, showing that we can expect more interesting news that will add some more loose ends in the creation of the clones.
