Alice (Luiza Quinteiro) is a pre-teen who had to move to a small country town. To her relief, she manages to find a new group of friends. However, during a game at the amusement park, Alice must confront mysteries that will reveal facts about her identity. The time has come to make tough choices.

secret passage at first glance it is interesting. It has a beginning that instigates you, that leads you to ask questions, especially with a mother who is forced to send her daughter away to live with her uncle due to abuse she suffers from her husband at home, until the main character, Alice, meets the children in the new city.

The feature has that 80s air, even in the form of a caricature as an adaptation of the Monica's Gang or Blue Building Detectives. The whole plot that is presented from the mystery, from Alice's past and the changes - meaningless - of her uncle next to the mysterious Park are more than reasons to hold the audience.

But unfortunately, everything seems to collapse when it arrives at the Park! The location should bring all that mystery and youthful suspense, since it is for this audience that the film is intended, but right here, Secret Passage is lost. And get lost! The secret passage, which gives the film its name, is so secret that you no longer know what is happening.

The script seeks that tone, which adults will remember well, coming from the books of Firefly Collection, as The 5 Star Mystery, among others that mixed suspense, a dose of terror, mystery and the supernatural, with well-built teenage characters that every reader would like to be or have as a friend.

The idea of Secret Passage is just that. Give the audience a mystery mixed with suspense, with juvenile characters who are smarter than adults and a villain beyond caricature. But this all borders on the absurd for all audiences.

Adults will find it too childish. Kids too slow. And teenagers, this is just too much to watch.

Another detail is to let matters that were at the beginning die in an even boring way. Why didn't the uncle help Alice's mother, knowing that she was abused? Why does he suddenly become what he is? And some other questions that remain open.

One of the parts in which the screenwriter must always appreciate is asking the questions, creating challenges and gradually giving the answers and the prize to the audience, so that they feel a participant in the film and not just a mere spectator. In addition, giving you unanswered questions only generates discomfort with a work.

Secret Passage had everything to be one of the best films of the year and enter the adventure gallery alongside other nostalgic works and even win a sequel or a series. But the development of the plot and characters left something to be desired.
