Time passed for Rambo (Sylvester Stallone), he now lives in seclusion and works on a ranch on the US-Mexico border. His old life, marked by violent struggles, but almost always victorious, was in the past. However, when a friend's daughter is kidnapped, Rambo can't control his drive for justice and decides to confront one of Mexico's most dangerous cartels.

Crítica | Rambo: Até o fim 1
John Rambo lives in peace on his farm, keeping all the ghosts within him of a war he never returned from.

37 years after the first movie, Rambo is back. The film of the ex-Vietnam War soldier, interpreted by Stallone, maintains its characteristics that led to worldwide success, with a lot of violence and no mincing words, especially in a time when nothing else can be said.

This writer, even had a slight fear of a new Rambo for the standards of the 21st century, with a character with many psychological explanations and even "clean", because in any current war film what you see is fake blood in full uniforms clean, plus a face and hair that has only a few traces of blood or disheveled. In addition to all the psychological explanations of a troubled childhood or the loss of a loved one, among many that have become clichés to make excuses for who she really is.

Dirt, mud, dust and walking through dirty places like sewers among other so real places, are gone from this genre of video-game warfare.

This movie is an almost direct continuation of the last one, when we see Rambo arriving at the farm where he was born.

There he lives peacefully with two other people – I won't spoilers or characters -, and raising horses.

Rambo still does some volunteer work to save people, using what he learned in the war.

Crítica | Rambo: Até o fim 3
Violence on screen is something surreal, as it is one that many of us, in various situations, would like to have done.

For new generations, Rambo may seem a strange character, with mannerisms and traumas even ridiculous, since - again -, films since the beginning of the 21st century do not explore the real effects of war. Mainly one that the US seems so keen to hide in its annals of history, which was Vietnam.

Rambo continues to suffer these bitterness, holding back all the anger and trauma Vietnam left behind. Any noise, smell, whatever, brings those memories back. There is no physical or spiritual remedy that can free you from these afflictions.

The film is very fast and with a simple script, following the lines of the entire franchise. An explanation of the character, which will lead you back to some kind of war and ending with the “hunt”. The climax of the feature only grows.

Rambo still maintains his social criticism factor, this time to human trafficking and slapping people who are abandoned and still want to continue the search for those who left them. And it is in a simple and as always direct answer.

This movie is like all the others. It is for those who have the stomach for not just seeing the scenes of violence, that we often have a great desire to do so, in addition to listening and bowing our heads with the “mimis” we do in our day-to-day.

The character is still what everyone wants away, but who seeks to solve their problems.

Rambo: Until the End may not be the best movie, the first one remains superior, but it's definitely second in line, with a dramatic adventure that will keep you in the chair until the end.

And let the curtains go up! To the next!

Rambo: Until the end it takes 4 lives out of 5.
