Review | Undone season 2

In its first season, Undone showed a great psychological analysis that ended its arc leaving ambiguity about the events, a doubt about whether everything that happened was due to the protagonist's powers or just an schizophrenia.

In its second season, Undone starts already knowing which way to go, removing the ambiguity and putting Soul (Rosa Salazar) to deal with the consequences of his actions while returning with his sister becca (Angelique Cabral) to your new timeline. Living now in harmony with his father (Bob Odenkirk), it seems that everything is in its place until Alma discovers that her mother (Constance Marie) is unhappy. Knowing the power in her hands, she cannot leave it unresolved, even with her father discouraging any action.

In this reality, Becca is living a faithful marriage, but has other marital problems as she seems reluctant to have a child when her husband is crazy about one. To make Alma's temptation worse, she discovers that Becca has powers similar to hers, that they travel between people's memories and that her mother has an important secret affecting her life. Driven by the belief that they can save their mother, they begin to delve into the events of her life and discover that there is much more to be seen - and resolved - in her family.

In its second season, Undone it just grows. It finds its tone, increases its cast, increases risks and cross-plots, leaving all the episodes interconnected in an extremely satisfying way. The Latin representation also increases, while the previous year the series praised its protagonists of this ethnicity, in this new cycle much more from Mexico is shown, with Latin additions to the cast and much more Spanish speaking.

The script leaves no loose ends, seamlessly crossing the plots to a beautiful and immensely satisfying ending, which becomes the only logical way to end this new story once seen.

However, this aforementioned ending appears to be the penultimate episode of the season. Until that moment, everything seems to lead to the logical path and is very well sewn in the events. But the final episode gives the impression of being a late addition just to leave a hook for a new season, clashing with the rest as much as it seems like a good complication for the new cycle.

Undone continues to stand out in a new year with new shooting challenges, without losing quality, both narrative and visual. Even with some small slips at the end, it is a remarkable work that deserves to be highlighted for daring not only in the techniques used, but abusing representation in its cast, stories and mythical elements, in addition to showing deep stories of difficulties that promise to thrill viewers.
