Duck Dynasty

The daily adventures of Ducky Dynasty: The Duck Kings captivated viewers in the United States, where the series became a phenomenon, and in Latin America since the reality premiere. Now they're back on the screen A&E for more adventures. Among other eccentricities, the Robertsons call attention to the camouflage costumes they use to hunt, the huge beards that have been cultivated for years, their very particular sense of humor and their unconditional love for the family, in addition to the simplicity they always have, despite their accumulated fortune.

Owners of the Duck Commander, based in West Monroe, Louisiana, the duck kings triumphed thanks to their whistle business for duck hunting. With their spontaneous way of saying what they think, in the southern way, Phil, Si, Jase, Willie and Jep won the world on the screens of A&E.

In the debut episode, on 7/5, Monday, at 9:30 pm, the Robertsons are going to do a live Christmas performance for their church, so wives organize rehearsals to make sure it's a big event. However, things do not go so well, because everyone wants to do it their own way. Willie and Jase puzzle over choosing the perfect Christmas present for their wives and follow Jep's advice without much enthusiasm.

CAST

Willie Robertson - Willie is the only Robertson with a business degree and, serving as executive director of Duck Commander, has managed to turn the company into something extremely profitable. He confesses to having honed his skills as a salesman thanks to the fresh fish shop on the market, where he sold with his mother when he was a child - it was there that he worked hard to negotiate the best price. Willie admits that “being a southern millionaire has its advantages”, such as being able to buy new trucks, accessories and beautiful clothes, but working with the family can be a headache.

Phil Robertson - Phil, the patriarch of the family, is an authentic Louisiana legend, known as the "Duck Commander". Even though it doesn't look like it, Phil played as a quarterback at Louisiana Tech University alongside football star Terry Bradshaw in the 1960s. Both were chosen for the NFL, but Phil declined the offer because it interfered with the duck season. Instead, he stayed in Louisiana, married his high school sweetheart, Miss Kay, built a house near the river, and together they raised four children. His love for nature led him in 1973 to create the whistle that calls ducks, which would soon become the best and most reliable ever conceived. Duck hunting is so important to Phil that he follows a strict routine of not bathing, shaving and washing his clothes during the ten-week season.

Jase Robertson - Jase is Willie's brother and his opposite. While Willie enjoys doing business behind the computer, Jase prefers to call the swamp an office. But, he knows that he has to earn a living and so Jase's job at the company is to manufacture the duck whistles that made the Duck Commander famous. When pressed, Jase can make thousands of whistles in an instant, but he likes to be comfortable so that Willie doesn't expect the same yield every day. When it comes to work, Jase has more important things on his mind like duck hunting. He likes to say that “there are only three important things in life, God, family and ducks”. Jase is married to Missy, whom he met in high school when he went on a date arranged to make his ex-girlfriend jealous. They have been married for 21 years and have three children: Reed, Cole and Mia.

Miss Kay Robertson - No one is more respected than Phil's wife and matriarch of the family, Miss Kay. She is the “glue” that holds the Robertson family together. Married to her high school sweetheart, since she was 16, she is the one who keeps Phil and the boys from spending too much time, bringing them back to civilization every night with homemade food. Miss Kay believes that her talent for cooking is a gift that should be shared, so she likes to feed the whole family and most of the neighborhood. Among its most famous dishes are banana pudding, fried venison, crab cakes and frog legs. For Miss Kay, the favorite member of the family is Jesse, the pet dog. But, she has a secret. Each time Jesse dies, Miss Kay quickly finds a new dog, as similar as possible to the newly deceased and gives him the same name. As she says, "this way, she never suffers".

Korie Robertson - Although not originally from the hunter family, Korie managed to adapt very well to the Robertson. As Willie's wife and partner in business, she helped him transform Duck Commander into an ever-expanding company. Korie is the manager of the office and must show presence so that it does not become the home of mother Joana. She met Willie at school when he invited her to walk under the moon during summer camp. They married a year after graduating from high school and have five children: John Luke, Sadie, Lil'will, Bella and an adopted daughter named Rebecca.

Si Robertson - Si Robertson is Phil's brother, best friend and accomplice. There is a very specific job in the workshop, the configuration of wands that are placed on each duck whistle. It is a very simple job that has become very difficult for the simple fact that Si never seems to be able to stay on his task for long. The Vietnam veteran likes to share his war stories with his boys and regularly manages to keep them late by dismaying Willie. Si's most famous story is that while serving abroad, his mother sent him a blue cup. Thirty years later, it still hangs in his back pocket and he continues to drink from this cup only every day.
