In the long In a New York Neighborhood, Lin-Manuel Miranda, creator of Hamilton, and Jon M. Chu, director of Rotten Rich, invite the public to a cinematographic event, where the streets are made of music and small dreams become big. Based on the Broadway musical adaptation, the film tells the story of a group of Latino neighbors who live in the neighborhood of Washington Heights, in New York, who are full of dreams and hopes and live their daily lives to the beat of salsa, merengue and a bit of hip-hop.
Lights in Washington Heights… The Smell of a caliente cafecito hovers just beyond the 181st Street subway stop, where a kaleidoscope of dreams brings this vibrant, close-knit community together. At the intersection of all this is the friendly and magnetic owner of the winery Usnavi (Anthony Ramos), who keep every penny of his daily profit and imagine, believe and sing about a better life.
