Christmas Meeting| Lifetime Premieres First Christmas LGBTQIA+ Movie


the christmas movies Lifetime Movies have already become a tradition. They are comedies, romances and enchanting stories that bring Christmas magic to the channel's screen. Next Sunday, December 5th, the track dedicated to the best films made for TV will premiere the romantic comedy Christmas meeting,  primeira produção natalina com temática LGBTQIA+ do Lifetime.

Recorded during the pandemic in Canada, Christmas meeting features protagonists who are married in real life, but have never acted together: Ben Lewis (ArrowScott Pilgrim Against the World) and Blake Lee (Parks and Recreation). Another highlight of the cast is Fran Descher, star of the 1990s comedy series “The Nanny”.

in the plotHugo (Ben Lewis) is a lawyer who lives in New York. In the days before Christmas, he and his best friend Madelyn (Ellen Wong, GLOW) viajam para Milwaukee, cidade de origem  do jovem para passar as festas de fim de ano com a sua mãe, a casamenteira Kate (Fran Drescher). Durante a viagem, Hugo reencontra Patrick (Blake Lee), seu melhor amigo de infância e seu primeiro crush.

While enjoying the festivities, the two bond again and their friendship quickly turns to passion. However, Hugo receives an offer to work in London and now has to decide whether to stay with Patrick or venture to the English capital. Will love win?

Christmas meeting was nominated for the 31st GLAAD Awards, in the Best Film for TV category. The award celebrates film, TV, media and music productions and professionals who promote the inclusion and representation of the LGBTQIA+ community. The theme song, December Baby, is performed by singer JoJo. Additionally, the film was scripted (Michael J. Murray), directed (Pat Mills) and produced (Shane Boucher) by gay men.
