After so long, almost an eternity for fans of Kratos' epic saga, Sony has finally revealed the long-awaited information about God of War Ragnarok!

For nearly a year, the development team joked on Twitter with images and also claimed that no one knew anything about a Ragnarok. Of course, everyone knew that this was a tremendous troll from the developers, and that only added to the hype.

But now, during yesterday's event, September 9, during Playstation Showcase 2021, fans were treated to trailer, gameplay and information about the new God of War game. God of War Ragnarok!

reveal trailer

This sim is the most important one before we know the other information about the game. The reveal trailer was a tremendous of an impact, showing Kratos and all the conflict he's going to have with his son, as well as showing some of the gameplay, other characters, and Thor's hammer. Kratos is worthy!

When will it be launched?

Well, after checking out this trailer, the fatal question is: when will it be released? Sony has reported that Ragnarok will be coming in 2022. Just that, without giving a specific date. So we'll have to wait for more information from the company throughout 2021.

What are the game details?

For now what we have is what was shown. The gameplay will be no different from the last God of War game of 2018. What was confirmed by the trailer - and it was already known -, is that Kratos and his son Atreus are back, but this time with new abilities, powers and weapons!

Atreus has grown much larger and is almost a warrior. The two remain close, but as with this type of story, which becomes almost a cliché, the two argue about what they should do with Ragnarok. Also back is Mimir who was the comical part of the trailer, making several jokes with Kratos.

One of the highlights of the trailer was the rescue of the Norse God of War, Tyr. It's really cool to see him get up and… well, I could tell from the trailer! Another god appearing from the pantheon of Asgard was Thor, who is voiced by Sons of Anarchy actor Ryan Hearst.

Which consoles?

God of War Ragnarok will be released in 2022 for the Playstation 4 and Playstation 5.
