HBO wins DGA AWARDS and HUMANITAS PRIZE

During the 72nd edition of DGA AWARDS, held last Saturday in Los Angeles (USA), the HBO it was the most awarded channel of the night, winning in four categories. Among them Best Direction in a Dramatic Series, whose list of nominees was composed entirely of productions from the channel.

In the 45th edition of the HUMANITAS PRIZE, which pays homage to screenwriters whose works in cinema and television generate inspiration, HBO was awarded for Veep.

HBO's awards at this year's DGA AWARDS ® are:

• Best Direction in a Comedy Series for Bill Hader per Barry, episode “ronny / lily”

• Best Dramatic Direction for Nicole Kassel per Watchmen, episode “It's Summer and We're Running Out of Ice”

• Best Direction in Miniseries and Telefilm for Johan Renck per Chernobyl

• Best Direction in a Children's Program for Amy Schatz per Song Of Parkland

In the HUMANITAS PRIZE, HBO was awarded for:

• Veep (episode “South Carolina”): written by Alex Gregory & Peter Huyck
