What Stranger Things it has been a success since its launch last year, and has been gaining more fans for the group every day, no one has any doubts. Several elements of success were inserted in the project that make the product a true hit in the world nerd/geek and also, from Netflix.
The series was created by Matt and Ross Duffer (The Duffer Brothers), two twin brothers who before having their names expanded to the whole world, since 2015 already worked in series of the same style. So, in celebration of this success and the launch of the second season, we decided to highlight some elements of the series and compare the two seasons.
1. Os anos 80
Whoever lived this time, guarantees that it was one of the best decades for all areas, but also, there were some wars, political coups and nuclear threats. The 1980s was an absurd experiment and that element is the background for Stranger Things win the audience.
Some films that were produced in that decade, marked an entire generation and we can mention some, such as The Goonies (1985), Count on me (1986), The ghost hunters (1985), Back to the future (1985), ET - The Extraterrestrial (1982), Gremlins (1984), Poltergeist (1982) and so many others.
Perhaps if you watch the series for the first time, you will notice numerous similarities in the episodes with the films mentioned and also, with other titles and why does this happen? Simply because a certain group of people, nerds, found themselves well represented and that was disseminated until it took on a huge proportion and acceptance came.
But there are those who do not see grace in films in this "style" and I do not argue. Another film that we can highlight that also resembles the series, is Super 8. This film is from 2011, but it has all the structure of Stranger Things and some say that the series was inspired by the film.
