Malévola | Relembre o filme antes de assistir à Malévola: Dona do Mal 1

The film Maleficent was released on May 29, 2014. Directed by Robert Stromberg, the feature has a duration of 135 minutes and is distributed by Walt Disney Pictures. Based on the tale Sleeping Beauty, Maleficent portrays in a very simple way the origin of the most iconic Disney villain. She led a peaceful life, where she protected her kingdom in the middle of a forest, until the day when an invading army of humans threatens the security of the region. Maleficent appears as the protector of the kingdom, but the naive girl has been betrayed cruelly and she becomes a bitter and cold woman.

"And as it happens, friendship has become something more."
- Maleficent

Do you know what is worse than a hungry woman with PMS? A heartbroken woman who wants to take revenge. Determined, Maleficent faces a colossal battle against the king of humans and as a consequence, she curses her daughter, Aurora, a beautiful newborn baby. Over time, the girl grows, and the villain who previously seemed to have no feelings, is gradually becoming attached to Princess Aurora, not knowing that the girl would be responsible for bringing peace and happiness to everyone, including Maleficent. .

The most curious thing is how we can perceive the protagonist's duality that is put to the test, from the moment the girl grows up and the “villain” becomes sympathetic to Aurora. The way she treats the girl - little prague - becomes a cute nickname. It is worth remembering that Maleficent and her raven / servant take care of the girl, as the trio of mole fairies cannot handle the service. It's a good movie, but it has some flaws. Action scenes with a closed frame that makes it difficult to know what is happening around, blurred images due to speed as things go on and the exaggeration of close ups - guys, it's not a television product, ok! - but the effects are magnificent, like fairies, trees and the like.

"And not a day will pass without me missing your smile."
- Maleficent

However, it has an incredible resemblance! The scene of Aurora's birth, the fairies coming in and Malévola's triumphal and super villainous arrival… was the culmination. And if you, a good fan of fairy tales, pay attention, you will see that the lines of “live-action”Are the same as in the animation. But the icing on the cake is Angelina Jolie's performance. When the character is good and naive, Jolie does it well. Already in its most villainous version, the tone used by Jolie is almost the animated version of 1959.

"I love it when you beg." - Maleficent

What does it take for a movie to be good? Emotion. It could be the best script, the best director, the best technical team, the best Hollywood production. But do you know what holds the audience? Emotion, feeling. The scene of the kiss was poorly made, the relationship between father and daughter left something to be desired, the events between Maleficent and the king seem to have disappeared, he returns as if he had fallen from heaven at the end. But, it's still a good movie. He was nominated for the 2015 Oscar for Best Costume; the Bafta 2014 for Best Children's Film and the Popular jury and Critics Choice Awards for Best Costume and Best Makeup & Hair.

Now that you’re aware of what happened in the first movie, you can watch Maleficent: Owner of Evil

"She wanted to know the world that was beyond her."
