MileniumGroup will sue Facebook for logo misuse

MileniumGroup uses the logo in "M" format since March 2020

The MileniumGroup, a regional digital marketing and communications agency, said yesterday (1) that it will initiate legal action in the United States against Goal, the company just announced last week by Facebook, for the misuse of your logo.

“MileniumGroup has been using the “M” shaped logo since March 2020 and we have recently evolved it into a multicolored form since the launch of our 'Communication in all its nuances' campaign”, reveals the agency's Creative Director, Blanca Munoz.

MileniumGroup has had campaigns running on TV in Argentina for more than two weeks, in which the “M” logo appears prominently, long before the Facebook announcement. “We need to defend our intellectual property; Creativity is one of our hallmarks as an agency, which is why our lawyers will ask Facebook for a “cease and desist” in the corresponding courts,” said MileniumGroup CEO, Alberto Arebalos.

The company has more than 100 professionals in Guadalajara, Mexico, Miami, Bogotá, Lima, Santiago, Cordoba, Buenos Aires, Montevideo and São Paulo, and has among its clients Electronic Arts, Cisco, General Electric, RedHat, AWS, Makro, Arcor, Linio, Open Plaza, among others.
