Derived from the classic Monsters IncMonsters at Work premiered this month and already has five episodes – out of a total of ten – available on Disney +. The story takes place the day after the Monstros SA power plant started collecting child laughter to supply the city of Monstropolis, thanks to the discovery of Mike and Sulley that laughter generates ten times more energy than screams. In addition to being a great option for nostalgic fans of the original film, several reasons will make audiences fall in love with the new series. Check out!

Nostalgia

The film Monsters Inc is a Pixar classic and was part of the childhood of many people who are now adults. Therefore, watching the series, which takes place in the same universe as the film, is a good option to kill the longing and feel that good nostalgia.

Nostalgic fans may also miss the Monstros SA factory, the main setting for the 2001 film, but with the addition of new characters and environments. The series tells the story of Tylor Tuskmon, a young monster who has just graduated from the School of Fear at Monster University and who has always dreamed of becoming a creep like his idol James P. Sullivan. However, on the first day of work at the factory, he is transferred to MIFT (Heavily Trained Installer Monsters), the department that takes care of all the gearing and running of the factory.

And speaking of characters…

Who didn't fall in love with Sullivan and Wazowski in the first movie, right? The duo's success was so much that they won an original film, University Monsters, in 2013. The good news is that the two are back in Monsters at Work, now in his new positions at the Monstros SA factory

In addition, the new characters will also make the audience fall in love – or at least have lots of laughs. In the very first episodes, we meet Tylor's co-workers, the MIFTers: the enthusiastic Val; the bumbling Fritz; the opportunist Duncan; and the Cutter rule follower.

Good marathon option

Who doesn't like to marathon a light series, which makes you have a good laugh and feel that warm in your heart at the end of a tiring day? Monsters at Work it's all this at the same time!
