The last year was very challenging for everyone, who needed, in a hurry, to transform their routines and dive further into the virtual world to guarantee the continuity of the most diverse activities. The gamer universe was also impacted by the new behavior patterns: it grew 12% in 2020, according to a report by SuperData. In the same period, the Nimo TV grew 25% worldwide.

With a mission to inspire people with its history, the streamer and model, Murillo Mello, noted the need for social distance as an opportunity to transform his journey; he had been producing online content about games for 4 years, but it was in 2020 that he started streaming on a professional platform and discovered that it could be a learning experience for him and everyone who watches him. “I was ashamed to communicate because of my disability and lives and games were my escape valve. Now I can show who I really am, ”he says.

His passion for games started when he was 6 years old, when he had contact with his first video game, Playstation 1, where he played Tomb Raider, Spyro the Dragon and Crash Bandicoot. Free Fire and GTA 5 became their favorite games a little later and are now a major part of their daily work.

In less than a year starring on Nimo TV, Murillo has already won more than 2 thousand followers who follow his long daily matches of Free Free Fire and GTA 5, while learning a little more about his journey as a person with disabilities in the gamer universe.

“Despite the difficulty with my motor conditions, I am always challenging myself to seek the best for my life. I am happy the way I am, I don't suffer from people's prejudiced comments. I know I'm going to get there because I never give up, I just need people who believe in my potential ”, concludes Murillo.

Nimo TV was the platform chosen by Murillo to start his work as a streamer. “It is a privilege for us to have stories like this to tell and to know that other streamers in the gamer community are touched by life cases like Murillo's and help him on this journey that for many can be leisure, but for many others it is already a profession ”, Comments Rodrigo Russano Dias, Brand and PR manager at Nimo TV.
