Ipiranga Museum offers training course in international negotiations with USP certificate

Aimed at students and professionals in activities related to international negotiations, the course has great names in the field in the faculty, and enrollments are open until March 19.

Between March 22 and 26, the Ipiranga museum, belongs to University of Sao Paulo, performs the Training Course in International Negotiations, which takes place in the digital environment upon registration - until 03/19. Open to the general community, with a focus on professionals from the private and government sectors working in the international area, as well as undergraduate and graduate students, the course is coordinated by Prof. Amâncio Jorge de Oliveira, deputy director of the Museum, professor and full professor of the International Relations Institute (IRI-USP) and scientific coordinator of Center for the Study of International Negotiations (Caeni-IRI).

The course will be offered in three modules, throughout the week, with a daily duration of 8h. O beginner module, which takes place on March 22 and 23, addresses aspects such as the main negotiation techniques, with simulations, the impact of culture on international negotiations and the PON - Harvard Negotiation Model.

At the intermediary, 02/24, concepts such as calculation of the Expected Value, risk and risk propensity in negotiations, decision models in situations of uncertainty and procedures for sharing and resolving conflicts, as well as applied exercises, are on the agenda. And on the 25th and 26th of March, at advanced level, mediation and conflict resolution techniques in institutions, coalition theory and multilateral negotiations, with simulations, and decision models in situations of uncertainty will be discussed.

Course objective

Provide technical training and specific training for professionals and students who carry out activities related to international negotiations in specialized research and advice, both in private companies and in government agencies.

Target Audience: Professionals from the private and government sectors working in the international area (foreign trade, administration, international law, institutional relations and corporate diplomacy). Undergraduate and graduate students with interests in the international area.

Course objective

The course aims to contribute to the training of negotiators from both the private and public sectors. The main concepts and quantitative approaches applied to the negotiation processes will be presented. Special emphasis on quantitative tools in negotiator decision making, in order to complete what is already offered in the International Negotiation Training and Advanced courses.

Target Audience: Undergraduate and graduate students with interests in international research, public managers, executives and company administrators.
