The Netflix today released the trailer for Narcos: Mexico, his new original series.

Check out:

Narcos: Mexico explores the origins of the current drug war by returning to its roots, a period in which the Mexican drug universe was the protagonist of a disorganized gang of independent producers and traffickers. Follow the rise of the Guadalajara Cartel in the 1980s, when Félix Gallardo (Diego Luna) takes command and unites the drug dealers to build an empire.

When the agent of the DEA (Drug Enforcement Administration) - US Department of Drug Enforcement - Kiki Camarena (Michael Peña) moves from California with his wife and son to take up a new position in Guadalajara, he quickly discovers that his task will be more difficult than he could have imagined. As Kiki becomes familiar with Félix's methods and becomes more and more involved in his mission, a series of tragic events begins that will change the rules of local trafficking and the way it will be fought for many, many years to come.

The series is produced by Gaumont Television for Netflix. Eric Newman is the executive producer and showrunner. José Padilha, Doug Miro and Carlo Bernard are also executive producers.

Narcos: Mexico debuts globally on Netflix on November 16, 2018.
