The AMC revealed the premiere date for the long-awaited second season of NOS4A2 adaptation of the supernatural book of Joe Hill. The new year of production is scheduled to debut on June 1st on the channel.
“After the strong success we had when sharing other series commented on our networks, mainly Killing Eve, we have another excellent opportunity to expand the audience for a great show ”, said Sarah Barnett, president of the entertainment group at AMC Networks & AMC Studios. “With NOS4A2, Jami O'Brien, along with an incredible cast led by Zach and Ashleigh, gave a unique insight into the history of vampires, fueled by Joe Hill's chilling romance. We are excited to open this high risk story to totally new audiences ”.
NOS4A2 focuses on Vic McQueen (Ashleigh Cummings), a talented young woman who discovers that she has a supernatural ability to find lost things. This ability puts her on a collision course with Charlie Manx ( Zachary Fifth), an immortal seducer who feeds on the souls of children, then deposits what remains of them in Christmas Land - a frozen and distorted Christmas village in Manx's imagination, where every day is Christmas Day and unhappiness is against the law. Vic strives to defeat Manx and rescue his victims - without losing his head or becoming his victim.
The second season begins eight years after the events of the first. Vic McQueen remains more determined than ever to destroy Charlie Manx. Charlie, having faced his own mortality, appears desperate for revenge on Vic. This time, he's keeping an eye on the person who means most to Vic - his eight-year-old son Wayne. The race for Wayne's soul sends Vic and Charlie on a high-speed collision course, forcing the two of them to face the mistakes of the past in order to secure dominion over Wayne's future.
