The Circle, the end of the fake universe?

The Circle is one of the most powerful companies on the planet. Working in the Internet business, it is responsible for connecting users' emails with their daily activities, purchases and other details of their private lives. Upon being hired, Mae Holland (Emma Watson) is very excited about the possibility of being close to the most powerful people in the world, but soon she realizes that her role in there is very different from what she imagined.
Like any synopsis, it doesn't even come close to what the movie starring Emma Watson, Tom Hanks, John Boyega and Karen Gillan actually is.

If you don't want to watch it because you think it's another criticism of your way of life because you love social platforms and this should be more of a “parents scolding” movie, you can go to the cinema without any problem because it's not.
The Circle is just the opposite. He knows that today's world is connected and making a comparison with George Orwell's 1984 is not correct. I won't compare the two, as I know that the overwhelming majority have never read 1984. So read it and then draw your conclusions. Here's the tip!!
Círcula is nothing more than a company that could very well be Facebook, Hello or many others. She discusses the values of lying and that if you don't get seen by people (no one sees me getting a piece of cake, so that's not wrong), you'll do what you want, and always in the worst way. The scene where this happens in the movie is amazing. For The Circle, transparency is everything. And it must exist from our politicians to us mere mortals.
And how to do it? Stay connected all the time. So your whole life is shown in real time to the people of the world. Comparison again with another movie called Nerve? Not so much, because in Nerve, the call is: “how far will you go for a like?”. At The Circle we are talking about privacy. And nowadays, who cares about that?
They may even reply that 100% of people call. I don't think so. As in the movie, we like rankings. Even if we are told it's just a random number and doesn't match reality, we always want to increase our number. Be it in the company where they present us that we had 70% of productivity, while our colleague next door had 71%. And we already want to overcome him as soon as possible. Same thing on social media.
For companies and marketing, just like us, it's the numbers that count. That's what makes us popular. China is already working on this development for future professionals, where having a good popularity will put you in a certain professional and even social spot. Not far from a book they call fiction and crazy.
And within the Circle it is like that. People's opinions about others, where the person socializes by participating in various activities, shows, among others, makes them rise in the ranking within the Circle. No news on what happens with Facebook, Youtube and other media. Not bad, correct? It depends. Do you end up leaving space for your real social life? The one you really like to do? And where is the space for people who are not so keen on socializing? And the family?
Now really, who cares? We want more and more to live the lives of other people all the time. Always know more about them and share our “social” opinions with others who have the same thought as us about what is truth and reality. And that's put in an interesting way in the film. I will not say how, but give two examples.
I don't have the financial or health conditions to go mountain climbing. By watching a real-time video of a person in the Alps or any other climb, I will be able to experience what she does.
The other is that always within a network of friends, no one will go against what I think. Even if that's wrong. A person creates something and because I think this is a lie, I'll post that he didn't create it and just bought it ready made. Make this comment on my Timeline and my “friends” will agree with me, because in the end, my Social Network only has selected people to have and follow what I like. This is wrong? The answer is left to you.
And that's exactly what the film does. He doesn't give you the answers. It just shows you all sides of what it's like to have your life exposed.
As adults, we don't want anyone snooping around us. But what's wrong with snooping on my son's account to find out who he's talking to? Or my girlfriend, my husband? So much so that the biggest searches on the Internet are how to “find the password” of the email or social network they use.
And that's how The Circle works. A film that cannot be classified as good or bad. Just like a movie about "it's important for me to know this".
71vQx2qQSzLThe Circle is based on the book by Dave Eggers. It was published in 2013. So it's current affairs. controversial? Not at all, because each one does with his life, what he thinks he should do.
And that is very well shown in the film as well. In my life, I rule. And not the way you think it should be.
What about the end of the fake universe? Well, in an increasingly interactive and resourceful world, it becomes more and more difficult to hide. And as for the other types of fakes, well, watch the movie, read the book, and have fun!
And let the curtains go up! To the next!!!
