The Opera, the company behind the popular cross-platform web browser, today introduced the latest update to Crypto Browser Project, now offering more users easy and direct access to services web3, through the arrival of the long-awaited version for iOS.
Web 3 is gaining traction, with a record than 34,000 developers who joined the space in 2021 to work on an increasing number of dApps. The Web3 experience for users has, however, been unintuitive most of the time and, in general, there is no optimization for iOS users.
With the new iOS support, Opera's Crypto Browser, Web3 browser with a built-in non-custodial crypto wallet, is poised for greater adoption in people's everyday lives.
the beta version iOS from Opera Crypto Browser follows the pattern of this year's January releases for Mac, Windows and Android. The Opera browser is tailored to the needs of veteran cryptocurrency users and newcomers alike. The focus of the Crypto Browser Project is a streamlined experience across decentralized applications (dApps), games, and metaverse platforms.
The browser also features a news and data aggregator called Crypto Corner, a bespoke homepage focused on live crypto information and updates, crypto asset prices and gas rates, as well as crypto events, air launches, and even podcasts.
Jorgen Arnesen, EVP Mobile at Opera, said: “Interest in Web3 continues to grow. Opera Crypto Browser was created to simplify people's experience on Web3, which has often been disconcerting for ordinary users. Opera believes that Web3 should be easy to use to reach its full potential and multiple audiences.”
In Opera Crypto Browser, users gain access to an integrated non-custodial crypto wallet that supports Ethereum blockchain ecosystems, polygon and Celo, with more blockchain integrations planned. Key browser features include a non-custodial cryptocurrency wallet with the ability to buy cryptocurrencies with fiat currency, send, receive and exchange the tokens of any supported blockchain. The Browser even has direct access to decentralized exchanges, Web3-based NFTs and gaming dApps – including over 7,000 services based on Polygon blockchains. Web3 can be accessed as easily as accessing any site on Web2.
The browser on iOS also enhances the ability to restore any Ethereum Virtual Machine (EVM) compatible wallet via Opera's native wallet, thus allowing users to integrate their existing assets and balances into the crypto browser's configuration.
With over 25 years of experience building browsers, Opera is considered one of the world's leading privacy and security browsers. The Crypto Browser project is dedicated to further improving the security of its users on Web3 and features advanced features such as a built-in ad and tracker blocker, pop-up blocker, and an intuitive cookie dialog blocker. Also included is cryptocurrency mining protection, blocking any 'cryptojacking' scripts that could compromise iOS devices and slow down their performance.
Opera's Crypto Browser is also designed to meet the growing demand of consumers who crave greater access to the Web3 and a streamlined user experience. The size of this market opportunity is significant, with PWC estimating that Web3 and the metaverse must inject US$ 1.5 trillion to the global economy by 2030. Despite this extraordinary potential, the current level of acceptance of these new industries is falling short of expectations, mainly because access to technologies and the user experience of individual applications are quite complex. With that in mind, Opera tries to solve these problems with its super easy to use Web3 browser.
O Opera's Crypto Browser It's part of a major effort by the company to simplify and streamline user access to Web3, and with this iOS integration, the Opera browser goes even further and is expected to win hundreds of millions of iOS users worldwide. Download Opera Crypto Browser for iOS on here.
