Woodpecker doesn't try and isn't nostalgic. It's a weak film where the character has to explain his joke all the time saying “don't do that, because I'm a cartoon”. Do you really need it? In addition, the film brings the cliché and lazy story of (read without breathing):
– Separated father who has to stay with his son for a while because mom is busy and they don't get along because dad's new girlfriend is younger and boring.
Have you seen this story? Does every parent need this? And the plot has to keep forcing at all times that Pica Pau will be the salvation of everything? No, it doesn't and doesn't.
