Primeiras Impressões heroes reborn

heroes It was a complicated series. The proposal was good, the characters were captivating and I dare say that the first season was very interesting, but it ended there. The impression that got with each new season was that they didn't know what they were doing there and were constantly trying to get back to the plot initial. But its cancellation ended up leaving a sequel open and that's when they decided, almost 5 years later, to remedy with Heroes Reborn.

Heroes Reborn takes place four years after the final events of heroes, that is, it can be considered a continuation. Exactly for this reason, I believe it is easy to know if you will like the new series or not, just analyze whether or not you liked the previous one, because Reborn it has the same comic book-derived format, same type of character (obviously) and the same pattern of problem to be solved as its predecessor. If you're part of the people who hated heroes, do not even come close to this pilot.

Before the premiere, the NBC released 6 mini episodes titled Heroes Reborn: Dark Matters,  that serve to better introduce the characters, it is advisable to watch it before venturing into Heroes Reborn.

****Heads up! The text below may contain spoilers for those who haven't watched Heroes!***

In Heroes Reborn, everything seemed peaceful until an attack shows that people who have abilities, here called EVOs, are being persecuted again, everything indicates that it is a consequence of Claire (Hayden Panettiere) have revealed his powers to the world. Noah Bennett  (Jack Coleman), who now lives a normal life, decides to be the focus of this pilot's action and begins a small investigation to find out what happened, as Claire may still be alive. We then found that mohinder (Sendhil Ramamurthy) took the blame for the bombing, along with some other intriguing facts that promise to reveal themselves over the course of the season, involving many people along the way.

Meanwhile, the EVOs are trying to save their lives by trying to escape to quieter locations. Gradually we are introduced to the new characters with skill, such as Tommy (Robbie Kay), a young man who has the power to make what he touches disappear and promises to be one of the main characters of the series. A lot of side stories take place in this pilot, so I can't narrate all, or all of the new abilities found, in this review.

Of course, this attack did not only affect the EVOs, many “ordinary” humans died in this event and some of the most affected by this were Luke (Zachary Levi) and Joane Collins (Judith Shekoni), who lost their son that day and now want to put an end to EVOs.

heroes-reborn

As you can see, this pilot is heroes pure. To top it off, in the trailer for the next episodes we see old characters making appearances. The series' biggest problem is following the same pattern as its predecessor, making it clear in the first few minutes that it will continue with the routine of the world ending for one reason x – people changing teams during the process – world saved and cycle starting over. This routine was exactly what made the quality of the series drop, but apparently they still want to invest in it…

In short: Heroes Reborn It's exactly what everyone expected. It's literally heroes being reborn, with the same look, narrative, plot and so on. I repeat what I said earlier, if you liked heroes, will love Reborn. If, like me, heroes annoyed you with the lack of originality in the seasons, turn off the TV and go read a book.
