Innovating is always good. Every year, during fall and the summer season, launch several series with similar premises and executions. Therefore, it is always a pleasant surprise when something different appears, even if the plot is not innovative in every way.

Me, Myself & I it has this eye-catching, its proposal is different and at this point it already pleases right away. telling the story of Alex Riley, narrated by its three generations, the production shows an everyday plot, but with an original execution.

Bobby Moynihan, former member of the Saturday Night Live, brings the adult version of Alex - in his 40s - to life, and opens the episode by quickly explaining the plot. Jack Dylan Grazer, a child actor who is already well known for his role as Eddie in IT- The Thing, illustrates the character's childhood and John Larroquette live the senior version. Alex is an inventor, who shows talent from an early age, but from what we can tell when we see his adult life, he hasn't made it to the top yet.

Without a doubt, the most captivating narrative is his childhood. Not just because of the talent of Grazer and his half-brother Justin (Christopher Paul Richards), who manage to completely steal the show, but also because they are easy to identify with the simple teenage dilemmas and carry the most intimate part of the episode. This phase of the protagonist's life is there to illustrate his motivation to pursue his chosen career and that's why his relationship with his stepfather and half-brother are very important.

The adult and older seasons fall a little in the common, at least in this pilot. Alex is portrayed as the typical loser, who has just split up and is trying to get back on his feet while trying to keep his relationship with his daughter intact, while the eldest shows well-known health problems. However, at the end of the episode, there is an interesting and promising twist.

Me, Myself & I It is a simple and very well made production. The script manages to interconnect the plot without difficulties with the help of the direction that knows how to put strategic cuts, intertwining the events and making the series even more original.

This pilot presents a promising idea that fits in with the light comedy style and short episodes. With good performances and a beautiful quality in the production, it's the kind of interesting series to pass the time and, if it doesn't fall into the routine of casual comedies, it will manage to captivate the audience for a long time.
