The Michael J. Fox Show

Finally the return of Michael J. Fox to television.

The Michael J. Fox Show, for sure, is the most difficult series to judge if it was good or not. Unfortunately, and it is with great sadness that I say this, I found the first 2 episodes to be very weak. But it is inevitable not to forget all this and pay attention only to Michael J. Fox and his performance.

Michael J. Fox is an example and inspiration for all of us, with his fight against Parkinson's and overcoming it, evidenced by his return to television. It's just gratifying and exciting to see him acting again, which is why I really hope the series improves and continues on the air for a long time.

The series deals with exactly that return, with a few small changes. Michael Henry (Michael J. Fox), a renowned journalist from NBC, retired prematurely after being diagnosed with Parkinson's disease. Over the years, Michael began to master the disease and became overly active at home, driving his family a little crazy. Your wife, Annie (Betsy Brandt) is the one who is getting crazier with Michael and ends up convincing him to go back to his old job. The decision is well accepted by her 3 children, Eve (Juliette Goglia), Graham (Jack Gore) and Ian (Conor Romero). In the midst of this whole group, we also find Michael's sister, Leigh (Katie Finneran), which is the typical idle “center of the Universe”.

The pilot introduces the characters, and that's all. The second episode (the premiere was double) already improves a little and shows us a more parallel story and more comedy. The show's problem was focusing only on the return of Michael J. Fox. ignoring the rest. But, coming to think of it, this is the reason for the interest in the series, and the reason the networks have come out on top for it. NBC was the winner, accepting the series without a pilot presentation.

As I said before, I'm hoping the series will improve. Even though it seems to be a vague hope, I cling to the fact that the series has improved in its second episode, in relation to the pilot. Anyway, I'm going to watch the show until it's over, good or not, just to see Michael J. Fox!
