Series focused on affectionate sibling relationships are not uncommon, but they always work. The love between the protagonist brothers, who constantly fight to protect each other, is what moves the plot of Prison Break, proving that even in tense, corrupt and unpredictable environments, there can be unity and friendship.
Over the course of the four seasons, the script was fraught with suspense, episode by episode, also taking the opportunity to criticize the great corruption in governments, businessmen of multinationals and FBI agents. The great differential of this plot was the games of intelligence and cunning, mainly the dispute of intelligence between Michael and Mahone. Among several twists and turns, the most striking are the good performances, always with a lot of interaction between the actors, especially the brothers Michael and Lincoln. The two did such a good job, that even today they make pairs in other series.
"Now we are really free."
The plot revolves around Lincoln Burrows (Dominic Purcell), unjustly accused of murdering the brother of the US vice president, with a date set for his execution at Fox River prison. Michael Scofield (Wentworth Miller), brother of Lincoln, who is a civil engineer and extremely intelligent, devises an audacious plan to rescue him from prison before the death sentence is carried out. and sent to the same prison as his brother.
In Fox River, he meets other inmates with whom he ends up alliance, among them T-Bag (Robert Knepper), John Abruzzi (Peter Stormare), Fernando Sucre (Amaury Nolasco) among others. She ends up meeting the prison doctor Sara Tancredi (Sarah Wayne Callies) who ends up falling in love. Gradually, it turns out that there is a conspiracy with millionaires from multinationals, the vice president herself and some FBI agents, including Alexander Mahone (William Fichtner).
The series was so successful that after its completion, still in 2009, a film entitled Prison Break- The Final Rescue, approximately one and a half hours long, basically a summary of the fourth season.
Despite having an acceptable ending in the fourth season, the series returns, not to explain something that was left open, but to explore a new angle of this outcome, recycling the charismatic characters.
The public is looking forward to the new season, but unfortunately, actor William Fichtner, the Mahone, will not participate in it. We are already rooting for a sixth season, now with Mahone too.
