This month, the Cinemark begins the new phase of its pioneering project dedicated to encouraging and promoting national cinema: the Brazil Project. From now on, the public will be able to check out screenings of Brazilian films throughout the year, with tickets at promotional prices. The feature that opens the new format of Projeta, on the 15/5th, is the adventure “DPA 3 – An Adventure at the End of the World”, with tickets for the single price of R＄ 8 (all pay half price). Check out participating cinemas and times at site.
To find out which film and session is on the Projeta Brasil program, just look for the “É do Brasil” seal in Cinemark’s communications and guarantee your ticket.
Projeta Brasil was created in 1999, with the aim of encouraging national production and bringing the public closer to Brazilian films. In its 20 editions, held until 2019, Cinemark exhibited in all its rooms, on a single day of the year - always in November -, only national productions that had premiered in the previous 12 months, with tickets at a promotional price. Over 20 years, more than 2.7 million people have watched the greatest hits of Brazilian cinema in the Network's theaters, within Projeta.
“After a break caused by the pandemic, we realized that it was time to reformulate Projeta Brasil. Now, the public will be able to check out recently released national films, throughout the year and for a promotional price whenever they find the project's seal. Cinemark thus continues with its mission of promoting the Brazilian audiovisual industry, encouraging the public to know our cinema more and more”, comments Daniel Campos, marketing director of the Network.
Cinemark Network in Brazil
World leader in ticket sales, Rede Cinemark represents around 30% of the Brazilian cinema market, with 626 cinemas in 85 complexes spread over 48 cities, in 15 states and the Federal District.
The first 3D movie theater in South America belongs to the Cinemark Network. In 2014, Cinemark brought a new technology, the seats with D-BOX movement that have a feature that offers commands to move them to simulate vibrations, falls and trepidation.
It also brought to Brazil the Extreme Digital Cinema – XD technology, with larger screens than conventional ones and an even more powerful sound system, bringing together the most modern in 2D and 3D technology. The Chain also presented the first room with a VIP concept in the country, with an exclusive menu and differentiated service from the box office to the snack bar service. Bradesco Prime lounges offer more comfort, with seats that follow the concept of business class on international flights.
Cinemark also offers the service of purchasing tickets and combos through the exclusive application of the Network. Through the APP, it is possible to check the schedule of the complexes, make purchases at the box office and candy store without queues, access exclusive discount coupons and earn cashback in partnership with Méliuz.
