André Vianco has cemented his name in the hearts of readers as one of the leading vampire writers for over 20 years. Since the arrival of the book the seven (1999), their stories only grew, with exciting characters and places many times more familiar to São Paulo readers.

And in 2021, another work by Vianco arrived, bento. launched by Citadel Publisher, this is a book that, like the previous ones, will surely make the reader fascinate with all the characters created by it, in addition to a post-apocalyptic world.

Story

Chaos has reigned in the world for 30 years, since that Cursed Night, when half of human beings fell asleep in an inexplicable way. Like an epidemic, the phenomenon has spread to several cities around the globe. When humans who haven't fallen into a mysterious sleep discover they share the night with vampires, the demons of darkness, the nightmare never seems to end.

Until, in this atmosphere of horror and tension, creatures appear that will be able to fight against evil and fight terror: the Bentos, blessed beings, who have the special power to eliminate vampires with their swords. In this scenario, Lucas and the warrior inside him awaken.

Will he be the one who can lead the humans and exterminate the vampires once and for all? Will he be the thirtieth Benedict, as the prophecy says? In the midst of many doubts, he sets out to meet the four miracles that can finally free the Earth from the terrible curse, with no idea of everything he will have to face.

Here, a true classic by André Vianco is reborn, which promises to capture the reader's eyes with its fantastic plot, unfolding in a realistic way, with the richness of details characteristic of the author, who describes like no one else the grandiose universe and the powers of the creatures of the good and bad.

The book

bento it's a captivating adventure. Even if you are within the universe of vampires created by the author, it is not necessary to have read anything previously. But if you've read them, you'll find yourself more familiar with the whole atmosphere, the vampires and especially the Bentos.

The book goes through chapters divided between the characters and it doesn't take long to take shape. Right from the start, the reader is already introduced to a totally new world, but at the same time unknown through Lucas' eyes. As the character wakes up lost and without memories of his past, the reader will discover who he is, what happened and what he must do in this new world.

In addition to Lucas, other formidable characters enter the plot, with their own stories and challenges to complete. Nothing is easy in this world created by Vianco. He is rushed, as humans need the day to survive and stay away from the night. But even in the day, dangers prowl the roads and places that should seem safe, as the “nocturnes” always set some trap.

In this way, the reader ends each chapter holding their breath, looking at the clock and feeling totally immersed in this story. Furthermore, André Vianco makes an interesting environmental critique by showing how the world continues without human interference. The world did not end, what ended was society as we know it.

bento It's an easy book to read and hard to put down. With touches of survival, suspense and adventure, André Vianco directs the reader to a new world, which leaves humanity full of doubts and fears about the future, as well as the arrival of night.
