In The Prince Awakens, Colleen Houck took us on a trip to ancient Egypt, in which his characters won a place in the hearts of readers. Now in The Crown of Vengeance, the author ends the series Gods of Egypt promising to please all fans.

*** Warning, Spoilers from the previous volumes below ***

After their intense battle in The Heart of the Sphinx, Lily returns to her mortal life, playing Grandma, still with the mission of helping in the battle against Seth. However, one event promises to undermine this mission: Lily has lost her memory of everything that happened in Egypt - including Ammon. With the children of Egypt asleep, Lily is the last hope to find them and wake them up to fulfill their destiny. For that, she will need Hassan to guide her and her two bodymates, Aunt and Ashleigh, to remember everything that is needed along the way.

“Everyone seemed to be very sure that the incredible things he described had really happened. I couldn't believe it. It couldn't all relate to me. Why would I leave New York to follow a mummy? ”

As everything was explained in the previous volumes, The Crown of Vengeance it starts at a frantic pace, with a lot of action from start to finish. Balancing battles and novels, the book becomes a voracious read. At first, the only thing that seems to hurt is the complicated romantic charge between the characters, which seems to be repetitive. However, as the reading progresses, it proves to be extremely necessary for the conclusion of the plot.

Colleen went to great lengths and ended this remarkable series in a brutal and satisfying way. Because it contains the aforementioned final battle, the work has more tense moments and stronger and heavier scenes, worthy of a real fight between Gods. The author was careful to give each character a worthy destination, even if some were left with a more cruel one. No name mentioned during the entire saga was forgotten - even Lily's Grandmother had her outcome presented.

“Sometimes protecting means getting into battle”

And that is another grace of the work: the return of all the characters. Each striking name in the previous volumes is presented here again. This, in addition to causing a pleasant feeling of reunion, helps in this interesting mission to individually seal the fate of each one.

The Crown of Vengeance is the book that fans have been waiting for. An exciting and, at times, suffocating reading, is a gift for readers who have waited so long for the outcome of this plot, which ends without leaving a hole, but will certainly leave a smile on the reader's face.
