How long have we not seen a film that leaves the feeling of having it all, is it instigating full of adrenaline, captures the viewer from beginning to end, starring Sandra Bullock and with an interesting analysis of human behavior?

Alfonso Cuarón gratified us a complete film that way, Gravity (Gravity). With a very original plot, the production is breathtaking with moments of tension experienced by the protagonist, however, even though it is set in space and giving the impression that it would have nothing more to do besides survival, the script manages to invest too in the fragility and self-control of the human being.

In the plot, the doctor Ryan Stone (Sandra Bullock) is on its first space mission, along with Matt Kowalski (George Clooney), who is already a very experienced astronaut. Their mission is to repair the telescope Hubble. Both are surprised by a rain of debris resulting from the destruction of a satellite by a Russian missile, which causes them to lose all communications with NASA and be thrown into outer space. Now, they are trapped in the middle of outer space completely without resources.

Despair is the key word in this work. There is no way to watch the distressing situations presented without feeling a certain suffocation, especially if the experience is in IMAX and 3D. With the help of great visual effects, quality production has the desired effect and while it features suffocating scenes, it manages to capture the audience's attention to the point that the 90 minutes of duration seem just 15.

Investing in a very restricted cast, only two actors appear on the scene and a few voices, was a great idea to maintain this atmosphere. In addition to providing the perfect way to deal with the protagonist's personal issues, since all she has at that moment is self-control and while trying to maintain a psychological balance, it gives space for an interesting self-analysis that is the great differential of the feature.

Of course, there are times when the veracity of the scene is questionable, but Gravity's focus is not being physically faithful, after all, it is still a science fiction and this allows for some execution errors when it comes to people trapped in space. The real focus is to provide a different action, with a great analysis to enrich the script.

It is safe to say that Sandra Bullock he carries the film on his back, its great interpretation and visual effects are practically the only elements on the scene. But that does not stop her from surprising her performance, which manages to guide the public through the necessary feelings with great ease. Moments stuck in space are able to show the gravity of the situation, but it is through tears and determination of the character that we can actually feel what all this could do to those involved.

Cuarón he manages to deliver a beautiful work, transmitting human fragility using only the grandeur of space.
