As incredible as it may seem, many people are unaware that the film Jumanji, original with Robin Williams, is based on a book. And the most fabulous, a children's work created by Chris Van Allsburg in 1981.
Jumanji, published in Brazil by Darkside by your seal little skull, has 32 pages, with a spectacular finish. The paper is nice to handle, with a hardcover and the author's own drawings are clean and easy to understand. It's as if they come to life on the leaves of adventure.
The story is simple and like every journey, it is a moral lesson for children. That's why it's interesting to observe and impossible not to compare with its official adaptation of 1995 and not the other two that came later with Welcome to the Jungle (2017) and Next phase (2019), both with Dwayne Johnson.

The book shows two brothers who find the game Jumanji and must start in the jungle and reach the end, the city of Jumanji to win their victory. During the few pages the characters face challenges that serve as a lesson of what they did of “miscreation” in the initial pages.
Jumanji is simple as any children's chronicle should be. With a direct moral lesson that still serves the new generations. The book is aimed at every fan of this type of literature, as a gift for their children and especially for Jumanji fans, of any age.
