The series Miss. Orphanage Peregrine For Peculiar Children he has had three successful books - and an extra one with short stories - where he could even have finished satisfactorily. *** Warning: contains spoilers from previous volumes ***

Map of Days is located after the events of Soul Library, where the destruction of the crack allows the peculiar led by Miss. Peregrine manage to live in the world of Jacob. And, taking advantage of this chance, that's exactly what they do, going right away to show up at his house.

It is the perfect opportunity for Jacob, who wished he could have his friends - and especially his girlfriend Emma - by his side and live with his peculiar powers without leaving his current life. However, to do so, they need to teach the group to live in the present and deal with their parents, who do not seem to want to accept this coexistence.

While trying to find a solution for this adaptation, they end up discovering a secret bunker from Abe and among his belongings, what appears to be a secret organization that hunted Etheres and helped peculiar people around the world. Jacob decides to investigate and takes the opportunity to find out more about his grandfather's past.

It is remarkable how Riggs manages to take a new direction to the saga, without becoming repetitive. Full of revelations and exploring an interesting past, the author manages not only to continue the series, but also to leave space for several other adventures.

The coming of the peculiar to the present opens loopholes to address more realistic questions, such as the childhood of some of them, who mention the difficulty of the war and other old problems of the time when they were in fact young. These details mature the book, and increase the reader's interest, even pointing out some conflicts between the generations.

Map of Days shows that there is still room for new stories in this universe created by Riggs. For fans of the saga, it is a find, as it focuses more and more on exploring the characters they have learned to love.
