Game-based comics aren't usually very successful. And also few arrive in Brazilian lands. But in the case of the trilogy Sonic The Hedgehog, released by the seal GeekTopia of New Century Group, things are quite different. The comics with the titles After the war (Vol. 1), The Sign of Dr. eggman (Vol. 2) and The Battle for Angel Island (Vol. 3), are true adventures for fans.

Starting with the very well done layout and striking colors as seen in the hedgehog games. Unlike some comics that leave the trace in some parts of the adventure totally polluted, where we don't know what an explosion of the character itself is, and even others that it seems that the designer just made a copy + paste of the heroes and villains, because everyone are the same, in Sonic, everything is well designed and with quality.

The story written by Ian Flynn is formidable. Sonic fans in the US are already used to Ian's scripts and now Brazilians can check out all the content he presents in three stories that will awaken the Stars within each one. Sonic's first adventure is already a continuation of one of the blue hedgehog's adventures against Eggman.

But that doesn't disturb the narrative at all, if you haven't read or have never caught a Sonic comic in your life. There are many characters coming from the games and other adventures and maybe those who are still stuck in time in a Sonic adventure or at most know the tails, can get a little lost.

But the script is so well done, that with just one title, the reader already knows who is who and doesn't have to worry about getting lost. In addition, the stories are more childish, so they are very easy to read.

It might seem then that older Sonic fans should stay away from these comics, but in reality this is not the case. The three volumes can be enjoyed by fans of the old and new generation without fear, as well as those who have never seen anything from Sonic or only know him from the movies.

Therefore, the three volumes of Sonic The Hedgehog are more than a nice request to enjoy the hero's adventures while not playing or waiting for new games!
