Tom Hanks he's a very talented guy, and he's already proven that talent as an actor. Now in Unusual types, he presents a new talent: being a great writer.

In that book, he invests in great tales, a total of 17, which report diverse situations, all involving somewhat peculiar people. However, only the characters are unusual, the situations are incredibly normal and that is where the beauty of this work resides.

Always starting in a very common way, the stories relate from the abusive relationship of a bossy woman with a new boyfriend to the heavy life of a guy who apparently has everything, but hides terrible memories of the war.

Hanks takes the reader to navigate in comical, sad, absurd moments and full of moral lessons - but always within an extremely normal routine. Introducing people with differentiated behavior, he builds an interesting work, which he succeeds in showing situations that could actually happen to anyone.

Even though they have nothing to do with each other, the tales have something in common, they all have a typewriter. This is because the object, which also prints the cover of the book, is the passion of the author, who collects several models.

Unusual types is a book that piques curiosity for being written by a dear and famous actor - and probably sells a lot for having its name on the cover - and when read it proves to be a great choice. It is a collection of really remarkable tales, which manage to arrest the reader and transport him to this apparently ordinary life, but which hides small intriguing behavioral details.
