For those who played the original game, they will continue to have fun, as will Scott's new fans. The game has a great challenge, like all of the beat 'em up style, besides having a great comic streak. The oldest of the genre will notice several references to classics like Final Fight, especially on the extra car wreck screens.

There is not much difference between the characters, being just for your taste choosing who you want for adventure. Of course, special attacks and some other moves are exclusive, but nothing that will give you many advantages.

The design following 8-bit standards is a tribute to classic games, as well as comic books. It is colorful, full of life and you can hit and destroy almost everything on the screen. The most exciting part is playing with another partner. Unlike some beat 'em up games that don't make much difference playing with a friend - sometimes more disturbing by the amount of enemies that appear on the screen -, in Scott Pilgrim not having a friend to go out and slaughter enemies and the League of Ex -Girlfriends is something very lonely.

And speaking of enemies, they fill the screen anyway, which makes the game very challenging! Only the game was well planned and this does not hinder your vision. The version we received is for the Switch and we did not have any problems when starting through the hybrid or on TV.

The cool thing about the game is that even if your character "dies", he can still be brought back in two ways: one with your partner calling you back and the other after becoming a ghost and "stealing" your life. Without a doubt, something quite different from other games.

Worth it?

Yes! This new edition, which arrives 10 years and a few months later (the official release of the original was in August 2010 and the new in January of this year, 2021), has many attractions that make Scott Pilgrim one of the best characters ever created for a comic book and then adapted for the games.

He is undoubtedly intelligent, fun, that doesn't make you want to throw the controller away because it's almost impossible to defeat the bosses and is extremely addictive! Staying on the screen for 4 to 6 hours to try to finish the game is definitely something you will do!

Scott Pilgrim vs. The World: The Game - Complete Edition, is available for PS4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, PC and Google Stadia.
