The Garena announced today (1) a global collaboration with Capcom to bring the content of the Street Fighter V to Free Fire. Crossover brings together two of the biggest hits in the gaming industry. In addition, the action reaffirms Garena's strategy to create new gaming experiences for the Free Fire community through collaborations with some of the most beloved brands in the world. Free Fire players will be able to see the Street Fighter big names Ryu and Chun-Li when the collaboration becomes available in July. The characters will be accompanied by lots of unique content and experiences, including a new version of the Free Fire interface, new activities and many themed collectibles.

“Street Fighter revolutionized fighting games. It's a franchise that many of us grew up with, playing with their iconic characters like Ryu and Chun-Li,” said Harold Teo, producer of Free Fire at Garena. "Bringing a piece of Street Fighter into Free Fire and welcoming Ryu and Chun-Li to the Bermuda map is something our players will enjoy."

Garena's collaboration with Capcom is based on its strategy to continue to expand the Free Fire experience with the world's most recognized brands. More recently, Garena has announced collaborations to bring soccer superstar Cristiano Ronaldo and the Japanese anime series Attack on Titan to the game.

Street Fighter is a fighting game franchise developed and published by Capcom and one of the highest grossing titles of all time. The game has sold 46 million units worldwide as of March 31, 2021. Street Fighter V was released for PlayStation 4 and PC in 2016.

Free Fire is an immersive Battle Royale created specifically for mobile.
