A list of possible names for the protagonists of DC's 'Birds of Prey' came out

The Warner Bros. is looking for names to compose the cast of Birds of prey. the american portal Hollywood Reporter, released a list of actresses who, supposedly, would be in view or being quoted by the studio, to star in the film.

The actresses Gugu Mbatha-Raw (Black Mirror, A Fold in Time) and Jurnee Smollett-Bell (True Blood), compete for a vacancy to interpret Black Canary - the name of Janelle Monáe was also cited, although the post does not guarantee that the actress has auditioned for the character.

Also according to the publication, hunter may be experienced by actresses Cristin Milioti (How I Met Your Mother, Black Mirror), Mary Elizabeth Winstead (Scott Pilgrim, Fargo) or Margaret Qualley (The Leftlovers).

Renee Montoya must win the acting of Justina Machado (One Day at Time) or Roberta Colindrez (Life). Another novelty is that the actress Margot Robbie return with your Harley Quinn and the great villain of the plot will be Black mask.

In the comics, the Birds of prey is a group of superheroines who were initially introduced with the characters Oracle and Black Canary. During the publications, other names emerged, making the group grow, such as Batgirl, poison ivy, Cat Woman and Katana.

The portal Talking Film, released last August, what would be the first synopsis of the film: “After separating from the Joker, Harley Quinn and three other superheroines (Black Canary, hunter and Renee Montoya) team up to save the life of a little girl (Cassandra Cain) from the clutches of a cruel crime lord [Black mask]“.

So far, not even the Warner and neither the A.D confirmed that the aforementioned actresses have auditioned for the film, so until official confirmation is issued, it's good to treat the news as a rumor. Christina Hodson signs the script and Cathy Yan, the direction. The recording is expected to start in January 2019 and the premiere in 2020.
