O Paramount + announced that the comedy series, an original animation, Star Trek: Lower Decks (seasons 1 and 2), will exclusively come to the streaming service in Latin America from September 2021. In addition, the next original series, Star Trek: Strange New Worlds, will also come into service in Latin America soon.
“We took the opportunity to bring these two new series from the iconic Star Trek universe to Paramount+ across Latin America,” he said. Developed by Emmy winner, Mike McMahan (known for his work in Rick and Morty and Solar Opposites), Star Trek: Lower Decks accompanies the support team of one of Starfleet's least important ships, the USS Cerritos, in 2380. Ensign Mariner, Boimler, Rutherford and I tend they have to keep to their duties and social life, as the ship is shaken by a myriad of sci-fi anomalies.
The USS Cerritos crew that resides there includes: Ensign Beckett Mariner, voiced by Tawny Newsome; Ensign Brad Boimler, voiced by Jack Quaid; Ensign Tendi, voiced by Nol Wells; and Ensign Rutherford, voiced by Eugene Cordero.
The characters who finish making up the crew include: a Captain Carol Freeman, voiced by Dawnn Lewis; the commander Jack Ransom, voiced by Jerry O'Connell; it's the Doctor T'Ana, voiced by Gillian Vigman.
