Announced in 2013, ROUTINE stood out with its haunting premise in an isolated and oppressive environment. Since then, the small and ambitious team at Lunar Software has rebuilt the game from the ground up to bring the experience in line with what was originally planned.
ROUTINE is a first-person sci-fi horror game set on an abandoned Moon with a futuristic 1980s aesthetic. In it, players will explore an abandoned station looking for answers to the mysterious events that took place there. Armed with only the Cosmonaut Assistance Tool (CAT), to interact with the various computer systems, players must navigate whatever unknown dangers exist.
In ROUTINE, Players will need to outsmart, outsmart, and maneuver their way out of harm's way from a mysterious threat that lurks in the decaying lunar complex. Explore the different sections of the station, from abandoned malls to decaying rooms, to understand the fate of those who lived there. A minimal visual interface helps keep the experience even more tense and immersive as players try to run, hide, or take cover from any threat that comes their way.
Rotuine's official release date has yet to be set, but players who want to track the game's progress can add it to their wish lists on Steam.
