In this and every month, the Sims strives to support its growing and diverse fan base. In celebration of the LGBTQIA+ Pride Month, the title development team published a blog post describing the empowerment stories of Simmers who identify themselves as part of the LGBTQIA+ community.
All of these stories share a common theme: they are part of the diverse community that The Sims are so proud of. Below is a brief summary of these proud players:
eyAnton (him/his): a swedish streamer that used the Sims as an aid to escaping gender dysphoria and always striving to encourage others in the community.
BeyondSims (him/his): a UK content creator who used the game to understand his sexuality through positive representation and exploration.
CaroloVazquez (her/her): an argentine woman who experienced the representation of relationships between people of the same sex in the Sims still young and built his community virtually.
Dimissaur (he/his): a Brazilian Simmer who finally saw realistic LGBTQIA+ characters in the Sims, where he found a diverse and comfortable community.
EnglishSimmer (her/her): a member of The Sims Spark'd runner-up team who created the series long there – dedicated to telling LGBTQIA+ stories – after exploring her own sexuality in the game.
