The Walking Dead: World Beyond is close to its debut, but it looks like it already has a date to finish. During the panel AMC in TCA, it was revealed that the spin off focused on the first generation to grow during the zombie apocalypse will only have two seasons.
Sarah Barnett stated at the event that "the series will not imitate its predecessors in substance form, being planned to tell a specific story in two years". The predecessors in question are the productions The Walking Dead and Fear The Walking Dead, which are understood, for the time being, until the 11th and 6th season, respectively.
The Walking Dead: World Beyond follows the trajectory of two sisters and two friends who leave a safe and comforting place to face known and unknown dangers, between the living and the undead on an important mission.
Persecuted by those who want to protect them and those who want to harm them, it is a story of growth and transformation that unfolds on dangerous terrain, challenging everything they know about the world, about themselves and about others . Some will become heroes. Some will become villains. But they will all find the truths they seek.
Co-created by Scott M. Gimple and at showrunner Matt Negrete, a série é estrelada por Aliyah Royale, Alexa Mansour, Alexa Mansour, Annet Mahendru, Nicolas Cantu, Hal Cumpston, Nico Tortorella and Julia Ormond.
The production is scheduled to debut on April 12 in the United States. At AMC Brazil, the exhibition starts the next day.
