The new season of the series will take a different approach. In an interview with GamesRadar, a showrunner Lauren S. Hissrich, revealed that future episodes will have "a more focused story" instead of merging intertwined timelines, as well as commenting on the plot.

“What's great for the next season in what we've written is that the story becomes more focused. There's a strong direction to the story because all the relationships that we introduced in season one really start to come to fruition in season two."

New episodes should also focus more on the relationship between Geralt, Yennefer and Ciri. This time around, they won't be spending as much time apart as they did in season one.

“The characters start to meet more and have more interaction. This goes well at certain times, but it also generates a negative result. But at the end of the day, these blocks that we’ve built are finally coming together to become something more concrete.”

With Henry Cavill leading the saga's cast, beside Anya Shalotra how Yennefer and Freya Allan how Ciri, The Witcher premiered on December 20th.
