Little is being reported about Spider-Man: Homecoming, but still the Hype it's big. Thinking about it Sony Pictures Brasil decided to shake the fans a little and brought Tom Holland, the new Spiderman and Laura Harrier, his romantic partner Liz Allan to the country to participate in an event with fans.

Today (02) the press conference closed with the presence of the actors, where a few details (very little) about the new plot were revealed and they told a little about the experience of acting alongside big names.

Harrier and Holland arrived in São Paulo yesterday and have already explored the city a little. During the tour they visited Beco do Batman and when asked about it, Holland joked that it was difficult to visit this place and completed by stating that soon “it will be called Beco do Aranha! ”. The actors also won two T-shirts from the Brazilian Football Team customized with their names and praised the Brazilian receptivity.

The New Web Head

Holland was asked what he intends to bring as a novelty to the character who has already had two other versions lived by Andrew Garfield and Tobey Maguire. The actor explained that this Spider-Man is different from the others because he is “a teenager who gains powers from nothing. When the film starts, Peter is still excited about the experience he had in Civil war, and leaves that madness to return to his routine while trying to learn to be the Spider, to use his powers and this learning curve leads to the plot ”.

He also admitted that he was inspired by the other versions of the hero. “I was very lucky. There were five films before mine. I'm not ashamed to say that I stole their ideas. But my character is younger and he's still more focused on enjoying being Spider-Man. He's in the coolest moment of his life. But there is also a burden. When he realizes that he has a responsibility, things go crazy ”.

When asked about her character's superpowers in the comic (Liz is the heroine Firestar), Laura Harrier says she will not have powers, but would love to have: “She is very smart, the type of girl who excels at school. Powers? Maybe in the future".

The new villain

Some little details about the villain Vulture, played by Michael Keaton, were commented. Tom Holland said that at this stage he intends to show ordinary men who acquire great powers “They are normal people who have the means to change things. The villain in the film is similar to the Spider in this sense. Both are human, but they have these gadgets and intelligence that set them apart from the rest. And yet they suffer in the same way as everyone else, the heroes of every day. "

They took the opportunity to comment on the experience of working with big names like Keaton and Robert Downey Jr. “A lot of people ask me what kind of advice they gave me. It may seem cliché, but just watching them I learned a lot. Robert is always 10 minutes early on the set, greets everyone before starting the day's work, is extremely courteous and professional, ”confided Holland.

Unusual discovery

Tom told some funny curiosities about his casting on paper. In addition to confiding that when he learned that they were looking for a new Spider-Man, he asked the time for his agent to schedule a test even though he didn't think he would win the role, just as a way to show his name and interest for the future. Still, the actor was anxious and said that he followed the whole process on instagram and that's how he found out that he had gotten the role “I spent time on instagram looking for news. It was the most stressful period of my life. It was there that I found out I got the part. My agent Kevin Feige only called me after I knew ”

Paper challenges

Interestingly, the biggest challenge of this role for Holland was not the acrobatics, that in reality the actor already dominated. He says that the biggest problem is the costume “I spent almost 11 hours without going to the bathroom so I wouldn't have to remove all my clothes and put them back on. It's a lot of work ”. He also says that he needed help to master the American accent, since he is British and we could prove that he has a very heavy accent. He admits - using the American accent - that he trained in schools in New York “I infiltrated some schools in New York to understand what the dynamics of a high school student's life is like to transport some of it to the screens. I wanted a little realism about it. ”

Finally, Holland is asked about the possibility of a romantic couple with Deadpool “People usually shippar the characters together, if you had the opportunity, would you make a romantic match between Spider-Man and Deadpool? ” asked the journalist. Without blinking, Tom replied, "Of course I do!"

Spider-Man: Homecoming opens in Brazil on July 6.
