With lyrics and choreographies made to measure for the occasion, the song “É o Tchan Em Yara” is performed by the irreverent Beto Jamaica and Compadre Washington, who in the video also have the company of dancers from Cia. Daniel Saboia.
According to Guilherme Sarda, head of the Community at Ubisoft Brasil, the choice for the musical group was made by hand. “É o Tchan is well known for its relaxed lyrics, which mix humor and double meanings, exactly what Ubisoft Brasil was looking for in this project. In addition, the group has always sung about real places, never in a fictitious country, and the intention of our Ubisoft Creative Hub team was to make a joke that would lead both gamers and É o Tchan fans to know more about this place called Yara,” adds Sarda.
The video for “É o Tchan em Yara” was produced by Tocaia Filmes, was recorded on the beach in Grumari, in Rio de Janeiro, and shows the members of the group arriving at the fictional island of Yara, which lives the chaos of a guerrilla between a revolutionary group and the government of dictator Antón Castillo, played in the game by Giancarlo Esposito (The Mandalorian, Breaking Bad and The Boys). The lyrics and melody of the song were composed by the comedic group Castro Brothers in partnership with Paulo Yamashiro, Maicol Ximenes and Sarda, from Ubisoft.
Far Cry 6 was released on October 7 for Xbox Series X | S, Xbox One, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4 and PC via Epic Games Store and Ubisoft Store.
